I visited with my wife Vanessa regarding our ferret Chunt several years ago (2023) We knew he was entering late stage adrenals and insulanoma. (This is common in ferrets due to strict breeding regulations meaning that Marshall pets and their tiny genetic pool for breeding cause a host of deformities and issues for American ferrets) He unfortunately was suffering from failing organs and we made the decision to ease him away. Dr. Romo and staff were the absolute sweetest folks I've met of vets, there was an offering of a suite of options but realistically for a little guy like chunt- more surgery and such just to earn him an extra year or so of discomfort didn't seem fair. There was no rush when the tike came and multiple staff members came in and visited with count to make him feel comfortable and to offer pets and sweet words. While we were incredibly saddened by the loss of our little buddy, DR. Romo had no problem sitting with us and sharing a few tears and some vulnerability himself regarding when these wonderful little guys have to go and that little bit went a long way to making those final moments even more humanizing. I wanted to leave this review because it's the least I could do for such a good clinic and staff.

This hospital is great!! Dr. Dicharry Van Houten was very knowledgeable about turtles and took great care of my baby Shelly, who is feeling much better.

The best exotic vet you can get for your pets. I’ve been bringing my ferrets here for about 4 years, maybe even longer, and they have always been incredibly caring, attentive, and wonderful with them. Simply the best in Palm Beach County.

The Bird & Exotic Hospital was so amazing during our hard time of saying goodbye to our ferret. Dr. Pacumio was beyond great during this time. She walked us through each step & ensured us our pet was comfortable. We are so grateful they were able to help us as a walk in, and we will forever be grateful for their care & compassion.

I have found a home. I truly cannot the level of care and concern for my birds and I have not experienced this for my avian pets. I have had several bird vets and all have been nice, but these people check up so much, they do what is convenient for you. They text, email, call, whatever you need. They care to try to keep cost down and they TRULY care. I am super picky. I have Nationwide Avian Pet insurance and so I do not hesitate to take my birds in, but it is still a stress as they are so vulnerable. I do not want to take chances. I really am impressed. I have had birds my whole life, but the current ones for over six years. I have been to four exotic bird vets in that time. This place goes above and beyond.

This place is hands down the best care for my ferret. I trust them and they explain everything very thoroughly, i’m never left with any questions and if i am i can text or call and receive a quick response! unfortunately, I did have to put my elderly ferret down, but throughout the process and the time leading up the whole team was nothing but amazing. The doctor always made me feel like he wanted nothing but the best for me and my baby. Everybody seems very knowledgeable and passionate. I do have my other two ferrets I will continue to bring to The bird and exotic hospital for as long as I have them. Thank you SO MUCH to the whole bird and exotic team for making my loss as gentle as possible❤️

I cannot recommend The Bird & Exotic Hospital enough. The team here practices medicine at the highest level, but what truly sets them apart is the heart and soul they pour into every patient. They treat every animal as if it were their own member of the family. They also provide safe, reliable boarding for exotic pets. These are genuinely kind people who clearly love what they do, and their talent is absolutely top-tier.

I love when you can tell that vet staff care about your animals. I unfortunately had an issue with my ferret and had to send me friend to get her checked out while I was at work- and they made it the best possible experience for the situation. They called me multiple times throughout to keep me up to date on what was going on and were able to keep the cost much lower than other exotic vets I’ve tried. Even the (what I assume was) front desk staff was very sweet and helpful over the phone. Overall very sweet and caring vets and I will definitely be taking my babies here from now on:)

I had a wonderful experience at Bird and Exotic Hospital with Dr. Jena Dicharry. From the start, everything was incredibly organized. They sent forms ahead of time, so when I arrived there was no need to repeat information, which made the visit feel smooth and thoughtful. The receptionist was genuinely kind, and it was clear they have loyal clients who come in regularly for food and care for their birds. The nurse was just as warm, and Dr. Dicharry herself was exceptional. Knowing she has multiple birds of her own gave me immediate confidence that my little one was in the best hands. She took all of my concerns seriously, answered every question I had, and walked me through proper nutrition without rushing, even though they were busy. I especially appreciated that there was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything unnecessary. In fact, when she did recommend nutritional products, she simply shared links to standard online retailers. I requested lab work, which meant a blood draw for my parrotlet, Skai. I was nervous since it can be tricky with such small birds, especially “wigglers,” and bruising and soreness are common. Dr. Dicharry explained the procedure to me in full. She proceeded to handle it so skillfully and quickly that Skai had no soreness at all afterward and was returned to me happily enjoying her treat like nothing had happened. A week later, Dr. Dicharry personally called me to go over the results in detail, which I really valued. Overall, this was a truly positive experience, which provided me with a solid plan to improve my bird’s nutrition and health. I would confidently recommend Bird and Exotic Hospital to all caring feather parents!

Just dropped off my Quaker parrot. Was not feeling well. I've never been to a veterinarian with such a professional and caring staff. It was almost overwhelming. Would highly highly recommend

Dr Roma and the entire team here is wonderful. They are kind and honest, giving me the right information to make the best decisions. I bring my guinea pig here for everything from nail trims to more serious conditions and treatment. I highly recommend this team! Thank you for all you do.

I came to get a checkup for a pair of bunnies of mine, and I will wholeheartedly say the staff here are extremely professional and knowledgeable, very kind to everyone coming in and show genuine love and passion for animals. The office was well-maintained and super clean. Staff show lots of patience, enthusiasm, and care for their patients, and made sure I was well-informed of any possible future appointments or care needed for my buns.
